DERMAL FILLERS

Dermal facial fillers are made of hyaluronic acids (HA). HA belong to the family of glycosaminoglycans which attract water into the extracellular matrix to enhance shallow skin contour and increase skin turgor. 

Treatment with dermal fillers can smooth out facial folds and wrinkles, add volume to the lips, and contour facial features that have lost their volume and fullness due to aging, sun exposure, illness, etc. These dermal fillers are injected under the skin with a very fine needle. This produces a natural-appearing volume under wrinkles and folds which are lifted up and smoothed out. The results can often be seen immediately. Since dermal fillers are considered temporary filling agents, periodic touch-up injections are necessary to help sustain the desired level of correction.  

Dermal fillers have been shown to be safe and effective when compared to collagen skin implants and related products to fill in wrinkles, lines, and folds in the skin on the face. However, like any cosmetic procedure, there is no guarantee that you will be completely satisfied. There is no guarantee that wrinkles and folds will disappear completely, or that you will not require additional treatment to achieve the results you seek. The dermal filler procedure is temporary and additional treatments will be required periodically, depending on the filler used and the patient, for the effect to continue. The duration of treatment is dependent on many factors, including, but not limited to: age, sex, tissue condition, general health, lifestyle conditions and sun exposure.

Do not lie down or bend forward for any extended period of time, for four (4) hours, following the procedure. Do not manipulate or massage the treated area for at least four (4) hours following the procedure. After treatment, you should minimize exposure of the treated area to excessive sun or UV lamp exposure and extreme cold weather until any initial swelling or redness has gone away.  

CONTRAINDICATIONS 

• Allergy to Lidocaine
• Allergy or hypersensitivity to ingredients
• Infection, inflammation, or cutaneous disorder at the injection site
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Acute flare of chronic autoimmune condition
